Had to rearrange ferries  due to me getting an infected leg and needing IV antibiotics
Left Brighton on the 16th and did 2 nights in North Wales before getting the ferry to Dublin
Driving through Dublin in afternoon rush hour traffic on a Friday was interesting. 10 Euro for the tunnel was a bit extortionate
Stopped at Drogheda for a bite to eat and then onto Newcastle Co. Down
Amazing campsite, really clean, immaculate showers and only £25 a night including hookup
Stayed for 4 nights and caught up with the kids in Belfast, did the Giant's Causeway as well.
Left there and headed towards Dingle, was getting late so after we'd driven through Camp and saw the Railway Tavern we ended up in Castlegregory right by the beach
25 Euro a night a bit basic but was everything we needed . Sandy Bay 2 it was called
Drove into Dingle and did the tourist boat ride. Love driving over the Conor Pass. Also did the Slea Head Drive
Started the drive back East and decided to do the Ring Of Kerry starting at Killarney and ended up doing the whole thing and onto to Tramore to catch up with Rony
Stayed an hour there eating chips and chatting with the big man and then onto Ferrybank for a short sleep and up early for the Rosslare ferry.
Stopped a night in South Wales to recuperate from the driving
Got back in late Saturday night it was a mad 10 nights away and we're missing Ireland already
So might be looking for a house in Kerry at some point :)
I'll post pics later

Hi folks, I have had my van insured with Dolmen insurance for the last twelve years, as you know with Dolmen you need to provide evidence of having an other vehicle insured somewhere to show that the camper is not your main vehicle, I am now considering insuring my van as my main vehicle as I would like to use it for some other purposes besides camping, can anyone give me any information as to where I could do this,
many thanks,

Just to let you know AnnMaries mum passed away this morning, on behalf of type2ireland I offer my deepest condolences AnnMarie. Your mum was a fantastic woman, welcomed us with open arms at the Effin weekend every year.
Thoughts are with you xxx

Hi All, just received the following message, if anyone can help:

Hello, my name is john o byrne and i work for the Children's Charity Barnardos ,i am looking to hire a vw camper (white or Green) for a couple of events we have on in September is there anyone out there in your Vw community that could help i see a couple of green vans in your pages cover page photo that would be great for the job, anyway here hoping someone can help from 14th - 22nd September. Thanks.
It probably does because their T3 version (T25) says T2/T3 and has the exact same image. If you want to call by we can test it. PM to connect up.
would it do a t25 ?
I have one of these for sale if anyone wants to drop an offer to me:

It cost €62 plus €28 shipping so if someone here could do with one it will be better than to send it back.

On that note, can anyone recommend a reasonably priced outdoor cover for a 1971 T2?
