origin of your username?
« on: November 19, 2008, 09:28:01 PM »
so some of our usernames are fairly self-explanatory: trev is trev, roger is roger etc but if you have a username that isn't your own name, what does it mean and why did you choose it?

go on, explain yourself!! ;)

trev (trev)  :ninja

Real name - Jacinta Hayes

Jacinta is (apparently) the Spanish for the Latin for purple. So Purple Haze it is - as in the Jimi Hendrix song and not the plant!  :P

Real Name Louisa so fairly self explanatory, but I put louie because when I found this site I thought ye may be a bunch of weirdos (well actually ...  :o;D ;D ;D) any how I put Louie so ye wouldn't know if I was male or female, just in case.  I didn't have the creativity to even think of something madder!

I'm an award winning Chef :badchef  and even funnier - I'm a journalist, and published photographer - :rofl :rofl ,  my children are now old enough to pair their own socks :rofl

MAnana - Man-yaa-na. Meaning tomorrow in spanish.

It all started when there was something to be done....

.... I was having a beer and it was a really nice day (2006 or earlier obviously).....

.... a friend of mine said it with a long yaaaaa..... Man yaaaaaaaaaaaa na..... like cheech (of cheech and chong) would have done....

.... and so it became a description of the easy life, where stuff had to be done.... tomorrow, but not today.

So we called the bus Manana, basically saying were enjoying the journey and things will wait till tomorrow, don't stress....

Manana, "Enjoying the Journey".....

My first trip to Ireland I visited Blarney Castle. It was also the first castle I had seen.

OK then , Crazylegs  as in Crazylegs Crane  a longlegged ,well meaning but slightly awkward cartoon character  or  for  the more street cred version   Crazylegs was a pioneering breakdancer    which is kinda ironic seeing as how I can't put one foot in front of the other with any kind of fluidity .
I used it without  thinking much about it really ..if I was back again I would have used Bob or Dick  or something like that  .... but then  "Bobs Kombis" or Dicks vans even  doesn't have a ring to it !
